Vanguard Horology Limited Mechanical Warranty


At Vanguard Horology, we are dedicated to providing you with exceptional timepieces and a high level of service. We understand that a luxury watch is a significant investment, and we stand behind the quality of our vintage timepieces with a limited 12-month mechanical warranty from the date of purchase.

This warranty covers mechanical failure of the watch's movement, specifically addressing issues that prevent the watch from keeping time accurately under normal use. Should a mechanical issue arise within this 12-month period, we will, at our discretion, repair or replace the timepiece.

What Is Not Covered

This warranty is a limited mechanical guarantee. It does not cover and specifically excludes the following:

Battery Failure: All quartz watches have their battery replaced at point of sale. If the battery goes flat within the 12 month period we do not cover replacement. The more complications (Multiple sub dials, chronograph etc) a watch has, the fast the battery can drain. If the battery has a fault (it leaks or causes a short) we will look into this at our discretion. 

Cosmetic Damage: Scratches, dents, or other damage to the case, crystal, bracelet, or strap that are a result of wear and tear or accidental damage.

Accidental Damage: Any damage caused by dropping, impact, or other misuse.

Water Damage: The watches we sell are vintage timepieces and are not guaranteed to be waterproof. This warranty does not cover any damage caused by water ingress, moisture, or other liquids.

Third-Party Servicing: Any warranty claim will be void if the watch has been opened, tampered with, or serviced by an unauthorized third party. All repairs and adjustments must be made by Vanguard Horology to maintain the validity of this warranty.


How to Make a Claim

In the unlikely event that you need to make a claim, please contact us at sales@vanguardhorology.co.uk to receive a return authorization. You will be responsible for securely shipping the watch to us. We recommend using a trackable and insured shipping service. Upon receiving the watch, our expert team will inspect it to confirm the nature of the issue.

Please note that this warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser of the watch.
