Like many, I admired the craftsmanship of iconic swiss timepieces, but a brand-new Tag Heuer Formula 1 at £1500 was beyond my reach at the time.

Instead, I turned to a vintage version at an auction. With patience and determination, I taught myself how to restore it. The satisfaction of bringing that watch back to life sparked a passion that became the foundation of Vanguard Watches.

I prepare every watch in-house to my exacting standards. When buying a timepiece from Vanguard Horology I guarantee it’s authentic and exactly as advertised. Every single watch stocked is checked thoroughly for authenticity and checked against The Watch Register. Simply put, If I have any doubts about a timepiece i simply do not sell it.

Inevitably vintage watches do show signs of wear so I take extra care to photograph and note these areas so you can be certain of what you are buying.
